Halloween in July

Never hurts to throw as many holidays as you can into a weekend trip.  What a great place to eat! Food is great the wait staff was amazing. Loved the atmosphere and the music when they were celebrating someone’s birthday.  Lots of effort put into the decor. The staff was even dressed up! So cool.  The twilight - Crispy black waffle with cream cheese whipped and sticky fried chicken wings.  The Mac n’ Cheese was most excellent also The Lurch Burger - beef patty w/Caremelized onions, smoked gouda, bacon jam, garlic aioli, arugula. 🙌🤯🙌 it was delicious!!! You can’t come and not try one of the infamous 51 oz. Punch Bowl Potions.   We opted for their signature bowl.  The Haunted   It is a rum punch with tropical juices and an assorted fruit with candy spread.  This was a team effort but we did it! Jessica was our trooper and went in for the finish.

Our family entertainment First up on the runway this evening.  The one, the only Kevin Michael Gerke!!! He’s Sassy, Brassy And a little bit Bad Assy Next up Chloe Bell! Sporting her Ralphie glasses  and a bit of an attitude.  Well look what we have here Miss Audrey Hooligan Jr. with the long wavy hair and her Ralphie Glasses.  Now it’s NeNe’s turn on the stairway. Definitely feeling like a pink nightmare! Up next Jessica of the 505 Crew! Showing her true displeasure of Aunt Clara’s homemade pajamas.  Last but not least Brenda, hands down the most entertaining. She had some serious issues putting on pj’s. At one time she had her leg in the arm of them and Jess was try so hard to help but was about ready to pee herself from laughing so hard.  Now for her debut down the stairs after a three person intervention getting her dressed.  We were all on the edge of our seats hoping she would make it down without tripping over the legs of th suit.  She is ve...

Christmas Story House

It’s finally here our Christmas present to the kids was a one night stay on good ole Cleveland St in the Christmas Story House.  This is a 1937 Oldsmobile F-37 touring sedan. Ralph talks about “his old man” saying “Some men are Baptist; others Catholics. My father was an Oldsmobile man.” We went on a tour of the museum which has lots. Of memorabilia from the movie and tons of Fan art created and sent to the museum.  Fun fact: There are no existing leg lamps that were actually used during the filming of the Christmas Story. There were three made for production, only one survived post production and it was discarded upon completion of the film. So no one will ever own an original leg lamp. 🙁 These are the hats of the bully Scut Farkus and his sidekick Grover Dill.  Higbees was a real department store that was founded in 1860. The store was in three scenes and was the first that Ralphie saw the infamous Red Ryder BB gun.  It was a warm winter in Cleveland when they wer...

We stopped at another of the Triple D dining spots and it was a delicious and messy dining experience.  This is Loops located in Columbus Ohio.  It is a Greek restaurant with Chicago roots.  Great family diner vibe all decked out in there Chicago memorabilia.  This is probably around the sixth Triple D experience for these two yahoos.  Here’s our Guy!
